Cavaliers Falls To Tualatin On Walk-Off
Cavaliers fell to Tualatin 4-3 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at
three with Tualatin batting in the bottom of the seventh when Taylor Corcoran singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Cavaliers got things moving in the first inning when Alyssa Daniell tripled on a 1-2 count,
scoring one run.
Tualatin knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the fifth inning. Emily Johansen
homered on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.
Megan Woodward was the winning pitcher for Tualatin. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and three runs while striking out five and walking none.
Nicole McBride took the loss for Cavaliers. She surrendered one run on three hits over one
and one-third innings, walking none. Shaylee Monise started the game for the Cavaliers. She surrendered three runs on six hits over five innings, striking out three.
Cavaliers launched one home run on the day. Trinity Loeb went for the long ball in the second inning.
Cavaliers had nine hits in the game. Loeb, Daniell, and Kylee Vanderbout each racked up
multiple hits for Cavaliers. Loeb went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Cavaliers in hits.
Tualatin racked up nine hits in the game. Ella Hillier and Corcoran all managed multiple hits for Tualatin. Hillier led Tualatin with three hits in four at-bats. Tualatin did not commit a single error in the field.
Johansen had the most chances in the field with six.
