Kailee Yoshishige Takes 3rd and 5th in the Hurdle Races

After a year of hard work Kailee returned to the state track for the 3rd year in a row. Kailee started her day out running the second leg of the short relay who finished in 10th, shy of the podium. Next was to finish the day with some hardware. The high hurdle race was about to begin. Her quote before the race “I feel stressed.” She got off to a great start and finished 5th, where she was seeded. The pouring down rain and the toll of the long season had her feeling tired. Kailee prepared for the race by taking it easy, a little off her normal warm up routine. She was ranked 6th in the event. At the 6th hurdle the girl to the inside of her, who had a slight lead took a spill falling a bit in to her lane. Instead of losing focus, she push on the pedal to another gear passing two others on the final two hurdles to finish 3rd overall.IMG_1121
