Vacation Raffle.  (Find one of the 200 athletes and purchase one or more raffle tickets)

Donation.  (Donate a sweatshirt fee for an athlete who may not be able to afford it)

Since the inception of Clackamas High School, track and field has been an integral part of our athletics program. This non-cut sport allows athletes the opportunity to compete for CHS in their chosen events alongside athletes of similar skill levels. Athletics connects students together and to their school. Approximately 200 CHS track athletes benefit as part of Team Clackamas. A unique advantage of our track and field team is the consistent relationships between coaches and athletes. Coaches often train an athlete throughout their high school track career, seeing them grow as competitors.

The district-approved fee for each track and field athlete is $175—one of the lowest for any team sport at CHS. This fee covers meet fees, bus transportation, coach stipends, facilities maintenance, and a basic uniform. Track fees alone, however, cannot cover the full cost to compete. In addition to the basic uniform, each athlete receives a high-quality Nike Clackamas team sweatshirt. This sweatshirt fosters a sense of identity, community, and team pride on and off campus and beyond the season. Track fees also do not cover the individual equipment needs of each event. Equipment wears out. Some of our current equipment is a decade old. Did you know that it takes 100 hurdles for a full race? We have replaced 20, but still have 80 to go. Upgrading starting blocks for runners and implements for field athletes increases costs exponentially.

To keep our track program thriving, each track athlete is asked to bring in an additional $100 in funding. Would you become part of our team by investing financially? You can do this in three ways:

Personal donation – 100% of any financial donation to CHS track and field goes directly to the program. It’s also 100% tax deductible on your 2018 tax return.

Business donation – Business donations of $500 or more receive website recognition on the CHS athletics website, which generates over 1,000 hits per post. This is a great boost to your business advertising budget while showing community spirit.

Raffle tickets – Each raffle ticket costs $5 and enters you in the drawing for one of four 2-day, 3-night getaway trips valued at up to $2,300. The drawing will be held on April 24th, the day of one of our home track meets. You don’t need to be present to win!

Thank you for joining Team Clackamas through your financial participation. Please attend our track meet on April 24th and cheer on our amazing track and field athletes. Go Cavs!
