Clackamas High School
Though Clackamas came out with a 1 – 0 victory, this game was extremely physical and a reminder of how play gets the closer the season is to the OSAA playoffs. The Clackamas goal came in the 18th minute of play as Sophomore Kyla Sullivan slotted a perfectly placed through pass to Freshman Aidan Brown she made two great moves to get pass a closing defender and than slotted the ball pass the goalkeeper into the lower right side of the Gresham goal. There were twenty four fouls called in this game and three yellow cards issued. The Clackamas goalkeeper Freshman Amaya Johnson had very little to do the entire game until in the last minute when Gresham was awarded a free kick about twenty yards outside the Clackamas goal. The free kick was taken a went well over the Clackamas goal, but the referee was not ready and he awarded the free kick again. The second free kick was right on target and would have dipped under the crossbar until Amaya placed both hands in the way to send it over the cross bar securing the Clackamas win.
