Game Recap

Thursday’s game against Gresham was a heartbreaker for the Cavaliers, as they lost the lead late in a 2-1 defeat. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the fifth when Gresham hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Gresham pitchers struck out ten, while Clackamas sat down eight.

Shianne Smith earned the win for Gresham. She went seven innings, giving up one run, one hit, and striking out ten. Shaylee Monise took the loss for the Cavaliers. She threw five innings, allowing two runs, three hits, and striking out six. Nicole McBride started the game for Clackamas. She tossed one inning, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and striking out two.
